Background
The University intends to procure a Portable Photosynthesis System with Fluorometer to enhance its research capabilities in plant physiology. This contract action is based on the authority of the Utah Procurement Code, allowing for negotiation and award with a single source due to the unique specifications required for the research.

Work Details
The product to be purchased is the LI-6800F Portable Photosynthesis System, which includes high-speed Infrared Gas Analyzers (IRGAs) integrated within the sensor head. This system eliminates measurement lag typical of console-based systems and features patented RACiR (Rapid A-Ci Response) technology for continuous, non-steady-state CO2 response curves.

The system also includes the 6800-01A Fluorometer that offers a 500 kHz sampling rate and Multiphase Flash (MPF) protocols necessary for accurately measuring maximum fluorescence in challenging species. These features are essential for maintaining physiological accuracy in fluctuating field conditions and are foundational to the university's research protocols.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from the date of award until completion, with specific timelines to be negotiated during the procurement process.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to Utah Valley University, located in Orem, Utah.
