MK26-5 Janitorial Services

Background
The State of Utah Division of Purchasing, through the Department of Workforce Services, is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to establish a contract for janitorial services at the Intermountain Weatherization Training Center (IWTC) located at Building A-16-D Freeport Center, Clearfield, Utah. The goal is to ensure a clean, orderly, and professional appearance of the facility while providing necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services including:

- Weekly cleaning of high-touch surfaces (drinking fountains, light switches, doors, etc.)
- Emptying trash containers
- Vacuuming carpets and upholstery
- Dusting furniture and fixtures
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning restrooms (including replenishing supplies)
- Maintaining break rooms.

Monthly services include damp wiping chairs and cleaning refrigerators. Quarterly tasks involve cleaning showers and windows. Annual services require deep cleaning of the entire facility including the Demonstration House and Insulation Lab. Additional services may be requested during large training events requiring daily cleaning. All staff must be uniformed and comply with security protocols.

Period of Performance
The contract will span a period of five years with an initial pricing guarantee for one year. Services are to be performed between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

Place of Performance
The janitorial services will be performed at the Intermountain Weatherization Training Center located at Building A-16-D Freeport Center, Clearfield, Utah 84016.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must certify compliance with all provisions in the solicitation document including participation in the Status Verification System for employment eligibility verification. Additionally, all janitorial staff must pass background checks and security clearances. The contractor must maintain liability insurance coverage and provide commercial-grade cleaning equipment.
