MID24-131 Midvale Canal Trial Final Design

Background
Midvale City is requesting written Proposals from qualified Bidders to complete a final design for the first phase of the Jordan and Salt Lake City Canal Trail. Midvale City currently has funding for the design and construction of a segment of trail along the Jordan and Salt Lake City Canal from 7800 S to 7500 S, adjacent to Midvalley Elementary School. Midvale City intends to contract with a consultant to perform final design services for this 7800 S to 7500 S phase of the trail network with the option of extending the contract for design of future phases of the trail at the discretion of Midvale City, as additional funds are secured.

Work Details
The contractor is required to complete a final design for the first phase of the Jordan and Salt Lake City Canal Trail. This includes providing professional engineering services such as civil engineering, landscape consulting, programming/master planning, architectural & engineering design/consulting, inspection certification services, testing/geotechnical, hazardous materials service, commissioning services. Additionally, environmental management including natural resources management and conservation strategy planning services and environmental testing and lab services including air quality are needed.
Management advisory services and consulting including project management and industrial management and construction management and quality assurance are also part of the required work.
Business administration services including management and operations services and inventory management and facilities oversight are included in the scope of work.

Period of Performance
The contract will start on April 4, 2024, at 10:00am MDT. The Q&A Close Date is April 18, 2024, at 3:00pm MDT, and the Close Date is April 25, 2024, at 3:00pm MDT.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Midvale City for the design and construction of a segment of trail along the Jordan and Salt Lake City Canal from 7800 S to 7500 S.
