Integration, Programming, and Network Communication Services

Background
The Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy (Metro Water) is seeking to hire a Consultant to provide integration, programming, and network communication services under a professional services agreement. This long-term engagement aims to ensure consistency and security for various projects, each expected to exceed five years in length.

The ten-year contract period is deemed beneficial for Metro Water's operational stability.

Work Details
The Consultant will be responsible for the following services:
- Process control and SCADA support, including design, installation, programming, and support services for both new and existing network systems.
- Support for wired and wireless communication systems.
- Development of a standards manual for HMI and PLC programming to standardize operations within Metro Water’s system.
- Assistance in transferring the existing Point of the Mountain Water Treatment Plant HMI system to Ignition software.
- Maintenance of existing HMI and PLC systems while supporting new installations throughout the Little Cottonwood Water Treatment Plant replacement project, expected to be completed by December 2033.

Consultants are encouraged to present additional capabilities that may enhance Metro Water’s staff and infrastructure.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon signing and is set to terminate on June 30, 2035.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed at the Metropolitan Water District facilities located in Salt Lake & Sandy, Utah.

Bidder Requirements
Consultants must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. They are required to maintain specific insurance coverage as outlined in the solicitation documents, including general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and professional liability insurance with specified minimum limits.

Additionally, consultants must provide evidence of compliance with these insurance requirements before work commences.
