EMC 4.8 MGD WWTF Expansion

Background
Eagle Mountain is requesting proposals for the expansion of the city's wastewater treatment facility (WWTF). The facility currently treats wastewater from the south service area using an activated sludge process and has undergone previous expansions to increase its capacity.

The city aims to design a tertiary treatment facility to enhance wastewater treatment standards, ultimately allowing for the use of treated wastewater as a pressurized irrigation source.

Work Details
The contractor will evaluate possible treatment methods for the expansion of the WWTF and provide a detailed design for electrical upgrades. This includes creating design drawings to accommodate an additional capacity of 2.4 million gallons per day (MGD).

Additionally, the contractor will assess the available onsite electrical capacity and design necessary upgrades to support the expanded capacity.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and will be performed until project completion. Proposals are due by September 26, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the existing wastewater treatment facility located south of the city offices in Eagle Mountain.
