Background
The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is seeking proposals for construction services for the construction of a new Maintenance Facility and Materials Lab Building for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) in Ogden, Utah.
The project aims to enhance UDOT's operational capabilities by providing modern facilities for maintenance and materials testing.
The estimated construction cost is $18,480,000.
Work Details
The scope of work includes the construction of key facilities such as:
- Materials Testing Laboratory
- Maintenance and Signals Facility
- Vehicle Wash Bay (Truck Wash)
- Covered Salt Storage Structure (Salt Shed)
- Administrative and Support Spaces (Meeting Rooms/Office Space)
Additionally, there are three additive alternates:
1. Herbicide Storage Building: Provide all material, equipment, and labor for the herbicide storage building and associated site work.
2. Asphalt Paving on East Side of Building A: Provide all material, equipment, and labor for asphalt paving on the east side of Building A.
3. Asphalt Paving on West Side of Building A: Provide all material, equipment, and labor for asphalt paving on the west side of Building A.
Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is from November 14, 2025, with substantial completion required prior to March 31, 2027.
The total duration for construction is expected to be approximately 15 months.
Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the UDOT Region One Headquarters located at 166 Southwell Street in Ogden, Utah.
Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be licensed by the State of Utah.
Proposals must include a DFCM Termination or Debarment Form certifying that neither the contractor nor its principals are currently debarred or suspended from soliciting work by any government agency.
Contractors must also demonstrate financial viability and provide references for past performance on similar projects.
