Background
The Housing Assistance Management Enterprise (HAME), an instrumentality of the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City (HASLC), is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering firms for the Mansell Manor Townhomes project.

HAME is one of Utah's largest providers of affordable housing, with over 30 years of experience and ownership of more than 35 affordable housing properties in Salt Lake City. The project will be constructed on the site of HASLC's current administrative offices, which will be demolished as part of a broader redevelopment initiative.

This project represents the first phase of the larger Mansell Manor Development, aiming to advance housing options consistent with Salt Lake City's goals, promote sustainable development, encourage community engagement, and maximize the site's development potential. Work Details
The selected firm will provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services including:

2. Conceptual Design and Schematic Drawings: Develop conceptual designs and schematic drawings; collaborate with HAME to align designs with organizational goals; prepare preliminary site plans, floor plans, elevations, and renderings.

3. Design Development and Construction Documents: Create detailed design development documents; prepare architectural drawings and specifications for bidding and construction; ensure compliance with local building codes.

4. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Provide accurate budget estimates for construction; assist in maintaining budget adherence throughout the project.

5. Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Facilitate permitting processes; coordinate with agencies to secure necessary approvals.

6. Bidding Support: Assist in preparing bid documents; guide contractor selection process.

7. Construction Administration: Conduct site visits to ensure construction adherence to plans; respond to RFIs and change orders.

8. Post-Construction Evaluation: Evaluate completed projects against design expectations; prepare post-construction documentation.
