American Sign Language Interpreting Services

Background
The Division of Purchasing is issuing a solicitation for American Sign Language Interpreting Services. This initiative is part of their mission to provide effective communication access for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The goal of the contract is to ensure that qualified interpreters are available for various events and services, thereby promoting inclusivity and accessibility within the community.

Work Details
The contractor will provide American Sign Language interpreting services, which may include but are not limited to:
- In-person interpretation for meetings, events, and appointments;
- Remote interpretation services;
- Additional support necessary to facilitate communication between deaf or hard of hearing individuals and hearing individuals.

The contractor must ensure that all interpreters are certified and possess the necessary qualifications to perform these services effectively.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue until the completion of services as specified in individual task orders or until the contract end date, which is implied to be ongoing based on service needs.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations as required by the contracting agency, including but not limited to public meetings, educational settings, and community events throughout Utah.
