50 Year Anniversary Institutional History and Historical Publication

Background
Davis Technical College (Davis Tech) is seeking proposals from qualified writers, historians, or firms to research, write, and produce a comprehensive written history and print-ready publication of the College for its 50th anniversary. The final work will document the institution’s founding, growth, and impact in both print and digital formats. The budget for this project is $50,000.00.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for researching and documenting the history of Davis Technical College, including its founding, growth, and impact through engaging text and images. Key deliverables include:
- A well-researched narrative capturing the evolution of Davis Tech and its role in workforce development.
- A print-ready document formatted to 10x10 inches with 100-125 double-sided pages, including a table of contents and numbered pages.
- The publication must be hardcover with full-color and matte layflat scuff-resistant lamination.
- The contractor must conduct research using institutional archives and interview current and former administrators, faculty, alumni, and industry partners to verify historical facts.
- Develop a proposed outline and narrative approach for approval that integrates personal narratives alongside institutional history.
- Monthly coordination meetings with College staff are required to ensure project timelines are met.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract term will begin on July 1, 2026, with project completion no later than December 1, 2027.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Davis Technical College located at 550 E 300 S Kaysville, UT 84037.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must have a minimum of five years of experience providing similar services. They must also acknowledge that all work associated with this project is considered work for hire and is the property of the College without reserve.
