2026 Sewer Pipe Lining Project

Background
The City of Orem is undertaking the 2026 Sewer Pipe Lining Project to rehabilitate its sewer infrastructure. The project aims to enhance the efficiency and longevity of the sewer system, which is critical for maintaining public health and environmental standards. This project involves various rehabilitation techniques, including Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, to address the aging sewer lines within the city.

Work Details
The work includes the rehabilitation of sewer lines through CIPP lining with the following specifications:

- 254 linear feet (LF) of 6-inch pipe
- 14,313 LF of 8-inch pipe
- 1,019 LF of 10-inch pipe
- 2,514 LF of 12-inch pipe
- 2,047 LF of 21-inch pipe
- 693 LF of 24-inch pipe
- 4,581 LF of 30-inch pipe
- 565 LF of 36-inch pipe
- 1,522 LF of 42-inch pipe.

Additionally, the installation of cured-in-place structural liners in five sanitary sewer vaults and five sanitary sewer manholes is required. The contractor must also perform all associated dewatering activities, bypass pumping operations, and lateral connections necessary to complete the work.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period as outlined in the solicitation documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted within the City of Orem's public rights-of-way and utility easements.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must possess a current Utah State Contractor's License and provide proof of insurance coverage that meets specified minimums: Commercial General Liability ($2 million), Business Auto ($2 million), Workers' Compensation as per state law. Contractors are also required to submit a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) if applicable.
