Wireless Network Access Point Upgrade

Background
Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) is seeking proposals for RFP #3346-26 to upgrade its wireless network access points. This project is eligible for E-Rate funding, aimed at enhancing the district's wireless infrastructure to support educational needs. The goal is to replace all existing wireless access points with new models compatible with current Cisco 9800 wireless controllers and Cisco DNAC Management System, ensuring robust on-premises management without reliance on cloud connectivity.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for:

1) Removing existing access points (APs);
2) Mounting new APs;
3) Configuring new APs to work with existing controllers;
4) Deploying WPA2+WPA3 security protocols on primary SSIDs;
5) Implementing 6GHz support while maintaining legacy support for 2.4GHz and 5GHz devices;
6) Deploying BLE tag-based asset tracking services;
7) Labeling and providing inventory spreadsheets for all APs;
8) Updating maps in the DNAC Management System to current standards;
9) Adding all AP locations to maps in the DNAC Management System;
10) Conducting post-installation verification of AP placements; and
11) Completing any other tasks necessary for a turn-key project.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is anticipated from April 2026 to April 2029, with a potential renewal term from April 2029 to April 2031.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within the geographic boundaries of Lewisville Independent School District, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must submit all required bid attachments, including a W-9 form, insurance certificate, and any relevant certifications. Vendors are encouraged to respond fully regardless of sole source status. The proposal may be awarded at the district's discretion either as a multiple award schedule or a single award based on best value considerations.
