Water System Capital Improvements - Phase 3

Background
The City of Keller, Texas, is issuing a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RFP) for the construction of the Water System Capital Improvement – Phase 3 project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the water system infrastructure in Keller, ensuring reliable water service and compliance with regulatory standards.

The project is contingent upon the release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB).

Work Details
The project consists of the following work items:
1. 178 LF of 6” water line by open cut.
2. 1677 LF of 8” water line by open cut.
3. 2797 LF of 12” water line by open cut.
4. 140 LF of 8” water line by Uncased bore (Alternate Bid).
5. 140 LF of 8” water line by Cased Bore.
6. 978 LF of 8” water line by pipe bursting.
7. Temporary water line and service connections.
8. Asphalt and concrete pavement repair.
9. Traditional mill & overlay operations.

Period of Performance
The estimated completion date for the project is May 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Keller, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must submit an acceptable Bid Bond with their Proposal as a guarantee that they will enter into the Contract within 15 days of Notice of Award, amounting to 5 percent of the proposed Contract Price. Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are also required. Contractors must not award work to subcontractors that exceed 50% of the total contract price without written approval from the Owner.
