Water And Wastewater Main Replacements At Various Locations

Background
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is issuing this solicitation for the construction of water and wastewater main replacements at various locations. The goal of this contract is to enhance the water transmission infrastructure in the area, ensuring efficient delivery and management of water resources. This project is part of a broader initiative to improve public utility services funded through state programs.

Work Details
The scope of work includes approximately 3,625 linear feet of 48-inch water transmission main relocation along Greenville Avenue. Additional work involves:
- 1,430 linear feet of 6-inch temporary water main
- 270 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water main
- 8,060 linear feet of 8-inch PVC water main
- 40 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main
- 150 linear feet of 12-inch PVC water main
- 35 linear feet of 6-inch PVC wastewater main
- Rehabilitation of 460 linear feet of 6-inch wastewater main
- Installation of 4,540 linear feet of 8-inch PVC wastewater main
- Installation of 1,400 linear feet of 12-inch wastewater main.
All respective appurtenances necessary for the completion and functionality of these installations are included.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period defined by the construction schedule established upon contract award, typically spanning several months to ensure timely completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted at various locations throughout the designated areas in Texas as specified in the project documentation.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including: submission of performance and payment bonds; adherence to U.S. Iron and Steel requirements; provision for workers' compensation insurance; and employment of local labor where feasible. Bidders must also complete forms such as TWDB-0459 for Vendor Compliance with Reciprocity on Non-Resident Bidders.
