Waste Disposal Services, Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for waste removal services at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center (CCSSLC). This IFB (Invitation for Bids) is administered by the Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC, which oversees the planning and delivery of health and human services in Texas. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective waste disposal services at the CCSSLC, which will also be available for use by other HHS agencies.

Work Details
The contractor will provide removal of non-hazardous solid waste from containers on the CCSSLC campus. Services include:
- Furnishing new or approved previously used waste containers.
- Placement of containers in agreed locations.
- Scheduled and as-requested collection services.
- Collection, transportation, and disposal of all non-hazardous solid waste at authorized sites.
- Returning containers to original locations after servicing.
- Repairing or replacing damaged containers due to normal wear and tear.
- Responding to service requests via phone or written request from CCSSLC representatives.
- Relocating waste containers upon request without additional cost.
- Delivering waste containers within five business days post-award and removing them within five business days post-contract expiration.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is expected shortly after the award date, with a response deadline set for May 29, 2025, at 10:30 AM. The contract duration will be defined in the awarded agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center located at 902 Airport Rd., Corpus Christi, TX 78405.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of one year relevant experience in providing similar services. All personnel assigned must be trained with at least one year relevant experience. Bidders are encouraged to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan if subcontracting opportunities are identified. All personnel must pass background checks prior to commencing work on state property.
