Waco Flooring Project

Background
The Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking bids for the Waco Flooring Project, which involves the repair of tile and installation of carpet at the Waco #2 National Guard Reserve building located at 2000 North New Road, Waco, Texas.
The project aims to enhance the facility's flooring to meet operational needs.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for:

1. Furnishing a trash dumpster for waste materials generated from the project.

2. Performing minor vinyl composition tile (VCT) repair and installation, including gluing and setting new tiles in place and ensuring the area is level.

3. Furnishing and installing new 24 inch by 24 inch carpet tiles for approximately 4,000 square feet using pressure-sensitive adhesive according to manufacturer specifications (Manufacturer: EF Contract; Collection: Stride Tile; Color: Cadet SRD46; Construction: Textured Loop; Pile Length/Thickness: up to 0.30 inch). Alternative bids are accepted if they meet or exceed specifications.

4. Providing all labor and materials to level a skim coat over 3,000 square feet of existing flooring before installing carpet tiles.

5. Furnishing and installing a new resilient wall base (Manufacturer/Brand: Tarkett Duracove; Size: Four inches; Shape: Coved; Color: Black). Adhesive must be applied according to manufacturer specifications. Alternative bids are also accepted for this item with required literature provided.

6. Installing nosing edge on stair landing in black color.

7. Removing all dumpsters, materials, and tools from TMD property within 72 hours after project completion.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is effective on the date stated in the purchase order and expires one year from that effective date.

Place of Performance
Waco #2 National Guard Reserve building located at 2000 North New Road, Waco, TX 76707.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation, including minimum required amounts for various types of insurance such as Workers’ Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Automobile Liability.
Bidders must also submit documentation indicating they are properly certified to conduct business in Texas.
