Background
The City of Beaumont is seeking a qualified Guard Services Company for the Events Services Department and other City departments as requested. The contract aims to provide security personnel for the protection of properties owned or leased by the City, ensuring smooth and safe operations during various events.
Work Details
The contractor will provide uniformed Guards for designated properties, including but not limited to: Beaumont Civic Center, Julie Rogers Theatre, Jefferson Theatre, Event Centre, Lakeside Center, City Hall, and Municipal Court.
Security personnel must be able to work in various weather conditions and will be required to perform duties such as monitoring events, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and conducting criminal history checks on all personnel. The contractor must provide at least sixty (60) trained personnel for events with a notification period of no less than forty-eight (48) hours.
Guards must adhere to specific conduct rules and dress codes, including wearing uniforms and badges. The contractor is responsible for all costs associated with employee screening and compliance with Texas Commission on Private Security regulations.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a period of three (3) years beginning within thirty (30) days following award by the City. There is an option to renew for two additional one-year terms, not exceeding a total of five years.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations in Beaumont, Texas including the Beaumont Civic Center, Julie Rogers Theatre, Jefferson Theatre, Event Centre, Lakeside Center, City Hall, Municipal Court, and other designated locations as needed.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must complete all required documents online under the Attributes tab including company information, license numbers, conflict of interest questionnaire, wage rate requirements, and compliance with House Bills 1295 and 89.
All personnel must be registered through the Texas Commission on Private Security. Bidders should not have any outstanding debts to the City beyond specified limits.
