Background
The Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking a Contractor to replace three existing twined 5-ton split HVAC systems with three new non-twined single 5-ton split systems at the California Crossing Readiness Center in Dallas, Texas.
The goal of this contract is to improve system efficiency, reliability, and compliance with current codes and standards while ensuring uninterrupted facility operations.
Work Details
The Contractor shall perform the following tasks:
- Remove existing HVAC systems.
- Install three new non-twined single 5-ton split systems.
- Isolate, lock out, and tag all electrical and gas services.
- Test all installed equipment for proper functionality.
- Recover and dispose of existing refrigerants per EPA regulations.
- Disconnect and remove existing gas furnaces and condenser units.
- Provide and install new HVAC systems including Goodman and Rheem units.
- Ensure minimum efficiency standards are met (SEER2 ≥ 14.3, EER2 ≥ 11.7).
- Modify ductwork for conversion from twined to single furnaces.
- Reconnect electrical and gas piping as required.
- Install new programmable thermostats.
- Perform full system startup, testing, and commissioning.
- Provide documentation of refrigerant recovery and disposal, startup reports, and ensure site cleanup.
Period of Performance
The initial contract term will be effective upon the notice of award or purchase order date and will expire one year from that date.
