TIE MRC Exit Sign Replacement

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking bids for the replacement of exit signs at the MR2 (Fab) and MR3 (CUB) buildings, as well as at the TIE Microelectronics Research Center located at 2706 Montopolis Drive, Austin, Texas 78741. This work is being requested by the University on behalf of the Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE) through Invitation to Bid no. 721-25081 (ITB). The contract involves replacing existing exit lights as detailed in the attached plans. The scope of work includes the demolition of current Tritium exit signs, which must be left onsite for University of Texas disposal. Additionally, the contractor is required to provide and install all necessary conduit, conduit fittings, wire, and boxes to power the new exit signs, utilizing the nearest emergency circuits. All bidders must attend a mandatory walk-through, with specific information about this requirement included in the bid documents. Questions regarding the solicitation are due by June 25, 2025.
