Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for the procurement of disposal fees for inedible canned food. This initiative aligns with TDCJ's mission to maintain operational efficiency and environmental responsibility within its facilities.

Work Details
The contract involves the provision of disposal services for inedible canned food at the Terrell Unit. The awarded vendor will be responsible for hauling the cans to their facility for disposal on a daily basis, utilizing agency equipment. The service will cover a radius of 50 miles from the cannery located at Terrell Canning Plant, 1300 FM 655, Rosharon, TX 77583.

The estimated quantity for disposal is 400 HL (hectoliters). Additional fees include an environmental fee, fuel fee, and administrative fee.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will commence on the date of award and continue through August 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within a 50-mile radius of the Terrell Canning Plant located in Rosharon, TX.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must certify that they are eligible to participate in this transaction and have not been subjected to suspension or debarment by any governmental entity. They must also comply with Texas statutes and rules relating to procurement and not be listed on the federal government's terrorism watch list.

Additionally, bidders must agree that any payments due under this contract will be applied towards any debts owed to the State of Texas.
