Sul Ross RFP for Unit Price Contract - Painting Services

Background
Sul Ross State University is seeking qualified contractors to provide 'as needed' painting services through this Request for Proposal (RFP). The goal of the contract is to ensure that the university's facilities are maintained and visually appealing, supporting its mission of providing quality education and services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide painting services on the main Sul Ross State University Campus in Alpine, Texas, as well as at the Borderlands Research Institute (BRI) and international campuses located in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde, Texas. Services will be performed under a Unit Price Contract, allowing for flexibility in the scope of work based on the university's needs. Specific tasks may include surface preparation, application of paint and finishes, and cleanup after work completion.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue as needed until April 10, 2026.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance will be Sul Ross State University Campus in Alpine, Texas, with additional locations including Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde campuses.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must have appropriate insurance coverage as required by the university and submit a sample Certificate of Insurance with their proposal. They must also comply with the Texas State University System Division One Specifications for Construction. A HUB Subcontracting Plan must be submitted; failure to do so will result in rejection of the proposal. Proposers are required to complete and sign the Execution of Offer to bind their proposal.
