Street Preservation - Chip Seal Paving

Background
The City of Waco, Texas is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB 2025-011) for a street preservation project involving chip seal paving. The goal of this project is to preserve various streets within the city through a two-course chip seal treatment.

The estimated budget for the project is approximately $945,000. This initiative aligns with the city's mission to maintain and improve its infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:

9. Grinding/Micromilling (2,500 SY)
10. Asphalt Fatigue Repair (1,000 SY)
11. Removal of All Pavement Markings and Raised Pavement Markers (1 LS) and Placement of Temporary Markings
12. D-GR HMAC TY-D PG64-22 Level Up (630 TN)
13. Adjust Manhole Cover to Grade (8 EA)
14. Adjust Water Valve Cover to Grade (49 EA)
15. Reflective Pavement Marking Type I Yellow 4" Solid (446 LF)
16. Reflective Pavement Marking Type I White 24" Solid Stopbar (25 LF)
17. Reflective Pavement Marker Type II-A-A (24 EA)
18. Reflective Pavement Marker Type II-B-B (14 EA)
19. Replace Manhole Ring and Cover if needed per detail on C811 (4 EA)

33. Install 4:1 Set (4 EA). The prime contractor must self-perform at least 30% of the contract work.

Period of Performance
The anticipated duration for completing this project is within 140 calendar days from the start date, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and City holidays unless specifically approved by the City.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in various locations throughout the City of Waco, Texas.
