Staffing for Related & Support Services

Background
The Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) is seeking proposals from qualified staffing agencies to provide related and support services, specifically Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), and Occupational Therapist (OT) services for TSD students. The goal of this contract is to ensure that deaf and hard of hearing students, including those with additional disabilities, receive the necessary support throughout the academic year. Services must be provided on-site at TSD's location at 1102 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:

1. LSSP Services:
- Conduct academic, intellectual, adaptive behavior, and psychological evaluations for students aged 3 to 21.
- Write reevaluation plans and comprehensive psychological evaluation reports.
- Conduct testing to determine instructional placement and support services.
- Attend ARD meetings and share evaluation reports with relevant committees.

2. SLP Services:
- Evaluate communication needs and provide direct speech/communication services.
- Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals related to speech and language.
- Collaborate with staff and community resources as needed.

3. OT Services:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services according to each student’s IEP.
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations using appropriate assessments.
- Maintain clinical records in compliance with state guidelines.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will commence upon award execution on February 2, 2026, and will expire on August 31, 2026. There are options for renewal for up to three additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed on-site at the Texas School for the Deaf located at 1102 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be licensed in good standing with their licensing board and have a minimum of five years of experience providing staffing services in a similar capacity. They should have completed at least three different contracts within the last five years and demonstrate financial stability. Additionally, all personnel who will work directly with students must pass a background check.
