Special Education Contracted Services

Background
The Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) is seeking proposals for Special Education Contracted Services to establish a list of pre-approved vendors who can provide necessary services to support the Special Education Department. This solicitation aims to replace all prior bids and contracts for these services, which will expire on August 9, 2027. The goal is to ensure that the district has access to qualified professionals who can assist in meeting the educational needs of students with disabilities.

Work Details
Vendors are expected to provide a range of administrative and instructional contracted services, which may include but are not limited to:

- Speech Pathologists
- School Psychologists
- Audiologists
- Diagnosticians
- Homebound Teachers
- Music Therapists
- Interpreting Services (including ASL Interpreters)
- Special Education Teachers
- Vision Teachers
- Occupational and Physical Therapists
- Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA)
- Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT)
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA)
- Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA)
- Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA)
- Special Education Administrators
- ARD Preparation/Facilitation Specialists
- Orientation & Mobility Specialists
- Nurses
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teachers
- Special Education Instructional Specialists
- Behavior Specialists
- Interveners for Deaf-Blind Students
- Certified Academic Language Therapists (CALT)
- Qualified Instructors for Dyslexia.

Each service provider must meet specific qualifications as outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from the date of notice of award through August 9, 2026. Contracts will automatically renew annually on August 9th until August 9, 2027 unless canceled by either party with a 30-day notice.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Mesquite Independent School District.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. They must also possess relevant certifications and licenses as required for their respective services. Additionally, vendors must not be debarred or suspended from participation in federal programs.
