South Area Lift Station Improvements: Springfield Lift Stati

Background
The City of Austin, through its Austin Water department, is undertaking the South Area Lift Station Improvements project. The goal of this contract is to enhance wastewater management by constructing a new gravity wastewater interceptor to replace the existing Springfield Lift Station.

Work Details
The work includes:
- Construction of approximately 3,340 linear feet of 36-inch wastewater interceptor.
- Installation of 910 linear feet of steel cased bore.
- Connections to existing wastewater lines and installation of new manholes.
- Demolition of pavement and curb-and-gutter as necessary for construction.
- Abandonment of existing water and wastewater lines.
- Implementation of wastewater bypass pumping during construction activities.
- Erosion controls and traffic control measures must be in place throughout the project duration.
- Protection of trees and other vegetation as required.
- All appurtenances necessary for the completion of the work are included.

Period of Performance
