Somacount FC Somatic Cell Counter

Background
The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is seeking competitive bids for a Somacount FC Somatic Cell Counter to test dairy samples in their laboratory. The contract aims to enhance the testing capabilities of the DSHS Lab, which is part of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Both HHSC and DSHS will have access to any contract awarded as a result of this Invitation for Bids (IFB).

Work Details
The vendor must deliver the Somacount FC Somatic Cell Counter equipment by August 31, 2025. The delivery must include:
- A non-networked computer
- A locally connected printer
- Spare parts
- A consumable kit sufficient for 3000 samples
- Shipping, installation, and onsite training
- A one-year warranty on parts and labor, excluding repairs due to neglect or wear and tear.
Bidders proposing alternatives to the specified brand must provide adequate literature with their bid for evaluation.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is May 29, 2025, with delivery of equipment required by August 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Texas Department of State Health Services Lab located in Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all requirements outlined in the IFB. They are encouraged to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan if subcontracting opportunities are identified. Additionally, bidders must ensure that all products conform to the stated minimum specifications and provide necessary documentation for evaluation.
