Site Maintenance Projects Magoffin Home State Historic Site

Background
The Texas Historical Commission (THC) is seeking a qualified general contractor to perform construction, repair, and restoration services at the Magoffin Home State Historic Site in El Paso, Texas. This site preserves artifacts, furnishings, and documents that illustrate life in El Paso from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. The goal of this contract is to maintain the cultural and historical significance of the site for future generations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for repairs to existing bathrooms at the Visitor Center, which includes full plumbing, electrical work, and interior finishes. The work must adhere to specifications outlined in Exhibit II Price Schedule and architectural drawings provided (sheet A411). The contractor must furnish all items specified in the price schedule and provide warranties on all installed materials as well as a one-year warranty on the work performed. Deliveries must occur during normal working hours unless prior approval is obtained from THC.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed by THC, with an estimated performance period from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Magoffin Home State Historic Site located at 1120 Magoffin Ave, El Paso, TX 79901.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years of experience relevant to the scope of work outlined in this IFB. Additionally, bidders are required to be fully insured and must submit proof of insurance with their bid. Compliance with HUB subcontracting goals is also required due to the contract's value exceeding $100K.
