SHSU Custodial Services

Background
Sam Houston State University (SHSU) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide complete and comprehensive custodial services across various locations. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment for the university community.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing custodial services, which include but are not limited to cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and other facilities as specified by SHSU. The services must meet the standards set forth by the university and may include tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and window cleaning.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last for a duration of one year with options for renewal.

Place of Performance
The custodial services will be performed at various locations within Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must have appropriate insurance coverage as required by the university. A sample Certificate of Insurance must be submitted with the proposal. Additionally, proposers are required to complete and submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan. They must certify that they are not listed in Section 889 of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act or Section 1260H of the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act. Furthermore, proposers must confirm that they are not owned or controlled by entities on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s foreign adversaries list.
