Description

1) SCOPE: Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section2165.001, Custodianship of State Property, and Section 2156.121, Use of Competitive Sealed Proposals, the Texas Facilities Commission is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal for the provision of General Maintenanceand Repair Trade Services for various facilities managed by the Texas Facilities Commission throughout Texas with most services located in Austin, Texas. These services will be for as-needed repairs. TFC anticipates award to multiple vendors from thissolicitation. Services solicited are:

a) General Carpentry Services

b) Roofing, Waterproofing, and Weatherization Maintenance and Repair

c) Window and Glass Repair Services

d) Exterior Property Maintenance and Repair Services

e) Fencing Installation, Maintenance,and Repair Services

f) See Attachment H for full descriptions of services and historical spend

Background
The Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) is seeking proposals for General Maintenance and Repair Trade Services for various state-owned facilities throughout Texas, primarily in Austin. This solicitation is in accordance with Texas Government Code Sections 2165.001 and 2156.121, which govern the custodianship of state property and the use of competitive sealed proposals. The goal is to provide as-needed repairs and maintenance services, with TFC anticipating multiple vendor awards from this solicitation.

The services requested under this contract include:

1. General Carpentry Services
2. Roofing, Waterproofing, and Weatherization Maintenance and Repair
3. Window and Glass Repair Services
4. Exterior Property Maintenance and Repair Services
5. Fencing Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Services

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution by both parties and will expire on August 31, 2027. There is an option to renew for two additional two-year periods if executed prior to the expiration of the current term.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various facilities managed by TFC throughout Texas, with a majority located in Austin.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must have at least five years of experience providing commercial roofing services similar in scope to those requested in this RFP. They must also maintain any required certifications for roofing maintenance and repairs throughout the contract duration.
