Security Access Gate Services

Background
The City of Austin, specifically Austin Aviation (AUS), is seeking bids to establish a contract for the maintenance, repair, and installation of security access gates at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The goal is to ensure the functionality and security of automatic gates used for vehicular and pedestrian traffic, which are motorized and operate via sensors or badged access.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive services including:
- Routine preventative maintenance of automatic gates
- Inspection and repair services as needed
- Replacement and modernization of existing gates
- Services related to both sliding and swinging motorized gates that facilitate secure access at the airport.

The contract may be awarded based on the lowest responsive bid, with AUS reserving the right to reject all bids or make multiple awards based on specific line items.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective upon execution and will last for an initial term of thirty-six (36) months. It may be extended for up to two additional twelve (12) month periods at the sole option of AUS.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport located in Austin, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable local regulations. The City’s Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE-WBE) Program does not apply to this contract. If subcontractors are used, they must be approved by the City prior to engagement. Additionally, contractors must ensure that all personnel comply with security clearance requirements specific to airport operations.
