Sale of Real Estate (Property B

Background
The Weslaco Independent School District (WISD) is issuing a solicitation for sealed bids for the sale of real estate, specifically Property B. This initiative is in accordance with Texas Local Government Code § 272.001(a), which allows school districts to sell real property through a public bidding process.

The goal of this contract is to facilitate the sale of an approximately 1.25-acre tract of land located in Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas.

Work Details
Bidders are invited to submit sealed bids for the purchase of Property B, which consists of the surface only of an approximately 1.25-acre tract out of Farm Tract 683 and Farm Tract 691, West Tract Subdivision.

Bids must be submitted electronically through IONWAVE/EUNA or delivered physically to the Weslaco ISD Business Office at 312 W. 5th St., Weslaco, Texas. Emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted. A Cashier’s Check in the amount of $10,000 made payable to Weslaco ISD must accompany each bid as an earnest money deposit. The property may be inspected by appointment by contacting Americo Garza, Executive Director of Operations.

Period of Performance
The bids will be opened on June 9, 2026, at 4:30 PM (CT). The proposed closing timeline for the sale must not exceed 75 days from the execution of the contract.

Place of Performance
The property is located in Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas. Bids must be delivered to the Weslaco ISD Business Office at 312 W. 5th St., Weslaco, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Cashier’s Check for $10,000 as earnest money and submit all required forms including a Sealed Bid Acceptance Form and Felony Conviction Notification Form. The bid will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder subject to approval by the WISD Board of Trustees.
