Background
Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is a coeducational two-year institution of higher education in Texas, focused on technical vocational education. TSTC aims to contribute to the educational and economic development of Texas by offering specialized programs for certificates or associate degrees. Their mission is to place more Texans in high-paying jobs, emphasizing outcomes as a measure of success. TSTC has 11 campuses and is expanding with a new campus approved by the State Legislature.

Work Details
TSTC is seeking proposals for the purchase and installation of non-sparking, industrial-grade downdraft air filtration equipment for the Composites Lab at the Harlingen campus. This equipment is crucial for ensuring health and safety standards for students and faculty working with materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, and resins. The system must comply with OSHA air quality standards and meet all state and federal procurement and safety requirements. The anticipated contract value exceeds $100,000, requiring a HUB Subcontracting Plan.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from May 27, 2025, until June 17, 2025.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place at the Composites Lab located at TSTC Harlingen campus.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a signed Execution of Offer and HUB Subcontracting Plan to avoid disqualification. Suppliers are encouraged to make good faith efforts towards achieving HUB goals but are not mandated to meet them. Additionally, suppliers must provide contact information for submission of Progress Assessment Reports (PAR) if subcontracting is involved.
