RFPC- 25-28 Ice Machine Services, Cleaning, Repairs and Preventative Maintenance

Background
The Houston Community College System (HCC) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors/vendors to provide inspection, cleaning, repairs, and preventative maintenance on ice machines across its system. HCC aims to maintain a first-class service standard while complying with state and federal laws. The contract may involve multiple contractors as HCC reserves the right to award separate contracts.

Work Details
Contractors will perform quarterly ice machine services that include:
- Disassembling machines
- Removing mold build-up and mineral deposits
- Sanitizing ice bins
- Checking compressor amp draw and supply voltage
- Inspecting wiring connections
- Checking for water leaks
- Ensuring complete ice cycles
- Cleaning condenser coils
- Checking ice production and operational wiring
- Maintaining records of maintenance and repairs.

Contractors must have the necessary licenses, tools, equipment, materials, insurance, and technical ability to perform these tasks. Service dates must be scheduled with HCC personnel prior to work commencement.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is anticipated to be one year with options for four additional one-year renewals. HCC may extend the contract on a month-to-month basis for up to three months after the initial term or any renewal term.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various campuses within the Houston Community College System located in Houston, Katy, Spring Branch, Alief Independent School Districts, Stafford Municipal District, and Fort Bend portion of Missouri City.
