Background
The University of Houston Clear Lake (UHCL) is seeking pre-construction and construction phase services for the renovation of the Bayou Building, including the Biology Department’s instructional & research laboratories, relocation of administrative spaces, and deferred maintenance at the UHCL campus. The procurement method will be in accordance with the two-step process set forth in Tex. Educ. Code §51.782.

Work Details
The project involves pre-construction and construction phase services for the renovation of the Bayou Building, including instructional & research laboratories, relocation of administrative spaces, and deferred maintenance at the UHCL campus. The Total Project Cost is approximately $44,900,000 with a Construction Cost Limitation of approximately $36,000,000.
The project timeline includes a design start in November 2023, construction start in June 2025, substantial completion in April 2027, and final completion in June 2027.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to be performed over a period from November 2023 to June 2027.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the University of Houston Clear Lake campus.
