Background
The City of Fort Worth is seeking proposals for a full-service uniform scrub rental program specifically for the Code Compliance Department. The goal is to implement a standardized uniform scrub program for staff working in animal care environments, ensuring safety, hygiene, and a professional appearance. The services will include uniform provision, laundering, repair, replacement, pickup and delivery, and inventory management.
Work Details
The Vendor shall provide a comprehensive uniform scrub rental program that includes: garment issuance, laundering, pickup and delivery, repair, replacement, and inventory management. Uniforms must withstand frequent laundering and exposure to conditions such as animal hair and disinfectants. Specific requirements include:
- Uniform scrub tops: Short sleeve with a single left chest patch pocket, piped edge or knit V-neck.
- Uniform scrub bottoms: Antimicrobial six-pocket cargo style.
- Colors: Navy blue for Kennel Technicians, Maroon for Veterinary Technicians, Black for supervisory roles.
- All uniforms must include the City-approved logo on the left chest plate.
- Laundering must use commercial-grade equipment with hypoallergenic detergents. Repairs for normal wear and tear are included at no additional cost. The Vendor will maintain accurate records of uniforms issued per employee and provide inventory reports upon request.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement shall be one (1) year with up to four (4) one-year renewal periods based on mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at two FWACC animal shelter locations in Fort Worth: 4900 Martin St, Fort Worth, TX 76119 and 351 Hillshire Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76052.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate experience providing similar uniform rental services. Proposals should include a complete response addressing all evaluation factors including cost (up to 10 points), experience (up to 30 points), technical approach (up to 15 points), service scheduling (up to 25 points), compliance (up to 15 points), and branding application (5 points). Proposals must comply with submission format requirements.
