RFP On Call Asbestos Abatement Services

Background
The City of San Antonio, through its Capital Delivery Department (CDD), is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide on-call environmental abatement services. These services include asbestos, lead, mold, and industrial waste management for various city projects. The goal is to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while addressing time-sensitive situations that may arise during project execution.

Work Details
The awarded contractors will provide services that include:
- Asbestos and lead abatement
- Mold remediation
- Industrial waste removal, transportation, and disposal
- Compliance with abatement specifications and regulations
- Immediate response capability for urgent situations (within 24 hours of notification)
- Management of varying conditions of structures scheduled for demolition or renovation
- Generation and maintenance of waste manifests for disposal services.

The total contract amount shall not exceed $4,500,000 over an initial three-year term with two optional one-year extensions.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of three years with options for two additional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Various locations within the City of San Antonio.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must comply with the following requirements:
- Must have specialized training and certification in environmental abatement services.
- Must submit a completed Contracts Disclosure Form, Litigation Disclosure Form, DBE Good Faith Efforts Plan, DBE Commitment Agreement Form, VOSB Tracking Form, Local Preference Program Identification Form, Heat Illness Prevention Acknowledgment Form, Letter of Insurability, and Certificate of Interested Parties TEC Form 1295.

The DBE goal for this contract is set at 0%. Respondents must also adhere to restrictions on communications as outlined in the RFP.
