RFP Consultant Services for the Small Contractor Development Program

Background
The City of Fort Worth is seeking proposals for Consultant Services to support the Small Contractor Development Program within its Economic Development Department. This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities and competitiveness of small contractors in the area, thereby fostering economic growth and development.

Work Details
The selected consultant will be responsible for providing a range of services including:

1. Assessing the current needs and challenges faced by small contractors.

2. Developing training programs tailored to enhance skills in areas such as bidding, project management, and financial literacy.

3. Offering mentorship and guidance to help small contractors navigate the procurement process effectively.

4. Creating resources and tools that support small businesses in securing contracts with the City and other entities.

5. Evaluating the effectiveness of the program and making recommendations for improvements.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be one year, with options for up to four additional one-year renewal periods, contingent upon performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed within Fort Worth, Texas, with potential outreach to surrounding areas as needed.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate experience in consulting services related to small business development or similar fields. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to include certified Small Business (SB) firms in their proposals where applicable.
