Background
Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, is seeking proposals for veterinary services to support the health and welfare of animals at its International Goat Research Center and Beef Cattle Unit. Founded in 1876, PVAMU is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service, serving a diverse population in Texas. The contract aims to ensure the well-being of cattle, goats, and poultry on campus.

Work Details
The selected provider will deliver both routine and emergency veterinary care for cattle, goats, and poultry. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing monthly routine veterinary visits by appointment;
- Capacity for emergency response services including weekends and holidays;
- Accommodating walk-in hospital visits;
- Delivering vaccinations, deworming, and medical checkups for cattle and guard dogs;
- Maintaining preventive care schedules;
- Outlining response protocols;
- Providing a fixed cost breakdown for services;
- Submitting examples of previous work history and qualifications of key personnel involved.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is one year with an option to renew for up to four additional one-year terms based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed on the main campus of Prairie View A&M University located at 100 University Drive, Prairie View, TX 77446.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must have a minimum of five years of experience in veterinary services for cattle, goats, and poultry. The clinic must be located within 50 miles of PVAMU. All veterinarians must possess a current Texas veterinary license. Proposals must include proof of licensure and insurance, references from at least two similar institutions, and a HUB Subcontracting Plan.
