RFP #2508DW Grounds Maintenance Equipment-Parts, Supplies and Repair Services

Background
Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) is seeking vendors for Grounds Maintenance Equipment-Parts, Supplies and Repair Services to support its Maintenance and Operations. This RFP is issued in accordance with Texas Education Code § 44.031(a)(3) for the procurement of these services.

Work Details
The contract will cover parts, supplies, and repair services for various brands of grounds maintenance equipment including but not limited to Hustler, Exmark, John Deere, Steiner, Toro, Rhino, Bush Hog, Land Pride, Frontier, Honda, Snapper, Graco, Dewalt, Stihl, Echo, Deweze, Kawasaki Engines, Kohler Engines, Briggs and Stratton Engines, Honda Engines, Kubota, Scag, and Lister Petter Engines.

Specific equipment includes grooming mowers, chippers, attachment implements, lawn equipment engines, mowers (including powered line painters), pressure washers, pumps (including slope mowers and attachments), hydraulic pumps (including injector pumps), top dressers, trenchers, shredders, wide area mowers (including drive shafts and gear boxes), and broadcast spreaders. Vendors are expected to provide these products and/or covered services as requested by Katy ISD.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be three years starting from March 1, 2026 through February 28, 2029. There is an option to renew annually for up to two additional years if agreed upon in writing by both parties.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Katy ISD as determined by the district's needs.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must have an IRS Form W-9 on file with Katy ISD. For contracts valued at $1 million or more or requiring lobbyist registration under Chapter 305 of the Texas Government Code,
vendors must submit a Disclosure of Interested Parties Form 1295. Vendors must also comply with insurance requirements including liability insurance and workers' compensation as specified in the RFP.
