Background
The Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) is issuing Request for Proposals (RFP) #2416SM to procure Grocery Products, USDA Commodity Storage, and Beverages. This procurement is in accordance with Texas Education Code Section 44.031, which allows for the use of RFPs for purchasing contracts.

Work Details
The awarded vendor(s) will be responsible for providing:
1. Grocery Products including Baskets 1 (Grocery Items) and 3 (Non-Food Items).
2. Beverages as specified in Basket 2.
3. USDA Commodity Storage services, which includes receiving, storing, and delivering USDA commodity products in compliance with relevant regulations.
4. An online web-based ordering system accessible from all eighty (80) district locations.
5. Delivery services twice a week to all district locations with specific delivery times and inside delivery requirements.
6. Compliance with Buy American provisions, ensuring that food products are predominantly sourced from the U.S.
7. Monthly reporting on product compliance with Buy American requirements; any substitutions must be pre-approved by Katy ISD.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on May 22, 2025, and will last for four years, with an option to renew annually for up to three additional years based on mutual agreement.
