RFP 2026-015 City-Wide Janitorial Services

Background
The City of Pflugerville is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for Janitorial Services for facilities throughout the City. The goal of this contract is to ensure cleanliness and hygiene in city-owned properties, enhancing the overall environment for both employees and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services that include:

1. **Restroom Cleaning and Disinfecting**: Thorough cleaning of all restroom fixtures, floors, and surfaces using appropriate disinfectants. Tasks include sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and ensuring all areas are free from stains and odors.

2. **General Cleaning**: This includes low and high dusting of surfaces, cleaning and polishing wood surfaces, disinfecting drinking fountains, metal cleaning, glass cleaning, vacuuming carpets, elevator cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness in storage spaces and janitorial closets.

3. **Waste Management**: Emptying and cleaning waste receptacles daily to ensure they are free from grime or residue.

4. **Initial Cleaning**: A thorough initial cleaning of all contracted buildings upon the start of the contract.

5. **Frequency of Services**: Restroom cleaning must be provided as many times as necessary daily to maintain cleanliness.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from October 1, 2026, for a duration of thirty-six (36) months with the option to extend for two additional twelve (12) month periods at the discretion of the City.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various city-owned properties located throughout Pflugerville, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including proof of insurance and adherence to OSHA guidelines for safety in cleaning practices. Additionally, bidders should demonstrate experience in providing similar services to public agencies.
