RFP 2026-002 Janitorial Services

Background
The City of Burleson is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors for janitorial services across various city-owned facilities. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in these buildings, which serve the public and city employees. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive cleaning services that adhere to specified standards and schedules.

Work Details
The contractor will provide cleaning services for a range of city-owned buildings, including but not limited to: Burleson Recreation Center, City Hall, Fire Stations, Police Department, Library, Municipal Court, and Senior Adult Center. Services include daily cleaning of all areas with specific requirements such as:
- Daily cleaning of floors, restrooms, and common areas.
- Weekly deep cleaning tasks including machine buffing of floors.
- Monthly maintenance tasks like cleaning interior glass partitions and dusting high-reach areas.
- Quarterly maintenance includes thorough cleaning and refinishing of ceramic and composite tile floors.

The contractor must supply all necessary cleaning materials and equipment, ensure compliance with safety regulations (including MSDS), and maintain a drug-free workforce. All personnel must pass background checks before entering city facilities.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last for one year with options for renewal based on performance evaluations.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the City of Burleson, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of liability insurance covering workers' compensation ($100,000) and general liability ($1,000,000). Contractors must have a working supervisor on-site during scheduled cleanings. All employees must wear identification badges and company uniforms. A comprehensive CJIS background check is required for all personnel entering city facilities. Bidders should also demonstrate municipal experience by providing references from previous contracts.
