Background
Texas Tech University (TTU) is seeking proposals and turnkey solutions from qualified and experienced Proposer(s) for the Supply and Installation of Modular & Pre-Engineered Buildings. The goal of this contract is to provide services that include the sale, delivery, and/or construction of modular buildings for various uses such as research, storage, and housing for mechanical or electrical equipment. These services will be requested on an as-needed basis by the TTU Operations Division.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the sale, delivery, and/or construction of modular buildings made from materials including wood, steel, and concrete. The structures may be constructed onsite or delivered preassembled. Specific requirements include:
1. All structures must include components such as fire-rated components, framing components, insulation, wall panels and trim, roof panels and trim, access points, gutters, downspouts, and building accessories.
2. Structures must be secured to an approved foundation designed by a licensed structural engineer in Texas.
3. Compliance with industry standards for design and construction is mandatory.
4. Proposers should have at least five years of experience in installing pre-engineered building systems.
5. Warranties required include a minimum of one year against defects in material or workmanship and twenty years against leaks in roofing structures.
Period of Performance
The period of performance will be determined based on individual project requests made by TTU throughout the life of the awarded contract.
Place of Performance
The work will take place at various locations owned or leased by Texas Tech University.
