RFP 2025.07 Industrial Generator and Installation

Background
Brazosport College (BC), located in Lake Jackson, Texas, is seeking qualified vendors to submit proposals for an Industrial Generator and Installation. The goal of this contract is to replace an aged generator with a new one that fits the existing support structure. BC has been recognized for its educational programs and campus safety, aiming to ensure reliable power supply through this procurement.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide and install one (1) industrial generator with the following specifications:
- Minimum power rating of 150kW up to 200kW
- Natural gas fueled
- Equipped with a Level 1 steel acoustic enclosure
- Power Zone Pro Digital Control Panel with Ethernet capability for remote monitoring.

The vendor will also be responsible for:
- Removal of the existing generator
- Placement logistics including crane rental
- On-site testing and factory start-up
- Warranty registration
- Load bank testing (minimum one hour)
- On-site training for College personnel
- Providing two sets of printed documentation along with electronic documentation.

Additionally, the proposal must include an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and exhaust piping necessary for the complete installation.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will last until the completion of installation and testing of the new generator. The proposal due date is September 18, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Brazosport College located at 500 College Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide proof of insurance covering:
- Commercial General Liability ($1 million)
- Automobile Liability ($1 million)
- Worker Compensation ($1 million).

They must also complete required forms including a Company W-9, Conflict of Interest Questionnaire Form, and any exceptions to the RFP must be clearly identified in the proposal response.
