Brazosport College is seeking proposals for Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) services for a multi-phased capital renovation project. The college aims to enhance its facilities in Lake Jackson, Texas, aligning with its Campus Master Plan. This project includes approximately 16 designated capital renovations and 1 new construction project, emphasizing improved campus infrastructure and student services.
Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Renovation of the BC Central lobby to improve wayfinding signage, interactive kiosks, and office layouts.
2. Conversion of the campus bookstore into a tech lounge with upgraded IT infrastructure and furnishings.
3. Refurbishment of the Commons Dining area without kitchen renovations.
4. Aesthetic renovations of The Swamp (student rec/game room).
5. Construction of an additional PET plant on the BASF building site, including slab, fencing, and lighting upgrades.
6. Renovation of the Children’s Development Center for Campus Police and Gator Mart with necessary facilities and storage improvements.
7. Security upgrades across campus including access control systems and surveillance enhancements.
8. Water infiltration investigation and repairs at the Dow Academic Center, along with necessary flooring and lighting upgrades.
9. Renovation of the BC Central Library to include collaboration spaces and a writing center.
Period of Performance
The anticipated completion date for construction is no later than December 31, 2027.
