RFP # 0606-2024 Solid Waste & Recycling Services

Background
The City of Conroe, Texas is seeking proposals for Solid Waste & Recycling Management Services. The RFP number is 0606-2024. The due date for proposals is June 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on May 15, 2024 at 9:00 AM. The City reserves the right to reject any and all RFPs, award parts of bids, and to waive informalities in submission of RFPs.

Work Details
The Contractor will be engaged to collect, dispose and process Solid Waste, Garbage, Bulky and Brush Waste, and Recyclable Materials from single-family homes, small commercial businesses, and City Facilities in the City of Conroe.
The Contractor must demonstrate that collected Recyclables are processed for resale for use in marketable products.
The estimated quantity of accounts to be serviced is provided for different service types.
The Contractor will also provide services for City Facilities, Special Requests and Events, Downtown Collection Services, and the Conroe/Pct. 1 Recycle Facility.

Period of Performance
The schedule of activities includes various important dates such as the RFP posting date, pre-proposal conference date, deadline for questions, sealed proposal due date, finalist interviews date, proposers' notification date of recommended award, council approval of finalist date, contract finalization date, council-approved award of contract date, and the new contract start date.

Place of Performance
The geographic location where the services will be performed is within the City limits of Conroe.
