Background
The University of North Texas (UNT) is issuing this Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RFCSP752-25-1005CS) for the renovation of the Kerr Hall Dining space. The project aims to transform approximately 9,500 square feet of the existing dining facility into a new Mean Greens vegan dining facility, enhancing the dining experience for students and addressing capacity issues in campus dining services.

This renovation is part of a broader Housing Master Plan aimed at modernizing facilities to meet the needs of the student population.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Interior renovation of Kerr Hall Dining space, including the first floor Dining Hall and Dining Prep areas.
- Conversion of the existing dining facility into a vegan dining facility accommodating approximately 300-350 people.
- Renovation of kitchen and serving areas, including installation of a new fume hood.
- Construction of new public restrooms.

The anticipated Notice to Proceed for construction is expected in June 2025, with substantial completion targeted for June 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan due by May 29, 2025. The proposal must include all necessary licenses and certifications required for general construction projects. Additionally, bidders are required to provide proof of insurance and bonding as specified in Division 00, Section 007000.
