RFB 6395 Janitorial Services for Public Works

Background
The City of Corpus Christi is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide janitorial services for its Public Works Department. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the designated facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide janitorial services at the Public Works Department buildings, which include labor, supplies, a supervisor, tools, and equipment necessary to perform services satisfactorily. Services include cleaning public areas, halls, offices, breakrooms, and restrooms. Specific tasks include:
- Daily emptying of waste receptacles
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning and sanitizing sinks and toilets
- Dusting surfaces
- Vacuuming carpets
- Maintaining outside areas.

The Contractor must also provide all cleaning materials of acceptable industry grade. The work will be performed after business hours from Monday to Friday.

Period of Performance
The contract term is three years with two one-year options for renewal.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at three buildings located at 2525 Hygeia St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have operated continuously for a minimum of five years providing similar services. They must not have any outstanding lawsuits or regulatory issues that could affect their ability to perform the work. Bidders are required to submit references from current and former clients as part of their bid.
