Request for Proposals for Construction Services related to Landscaping Repairs at SH121 and US75

Background
The City of Melissa, Texas, is seeking proposals for construction services related to landscaping repairs at the SH 121 and US 75 interchange. The project aims to address erosion maintenance and enhance landscaping in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Bid Documents prepared by Teague, Nall, and Perkins.

The City’s mission is to improve the aesthetic and functional aspects of this critical interchange area.

Work Details
The contract includes the following services:
1. Mobilization for obtaining bonds and insurance, movement of personnel, construction equipment, and supplies to the project site.
2. Furnishing and installation of various native American seed mixes including:
- Native Texas Mix (129,144 SF)
- Pollinator Essentials Mix (39,447 SF)
- Texas Native Roadside Mix (129,197 SF)
- Upper Slope Wildflower Mix (118,419 SF)
- Wetland Fringe Mix (126,568 SF)
3. Installation of trees including Chinquapin Oak (10 EA) and Vitex (5 EA).
4. Erosion control measures such as silt fence installation (10,479 LF).
5. Traffic control measures (6 EA).
6. Ground preparation amendments for a total area of 534,345 SF.
7. Fine grading for the same area.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon contract award anticipated on January 28, 2025, with specific timelines for completion outlined in the project schedule.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the SH 121 and US 75 interchange in Melissa, Texas.
