Background
The Austin Independent School District (AISD) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide School-Based Mental Health and Counseling Services. The goal of this contract is to enhance the mental health supports already offered within AISD schools, ensuring that students receive high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable mental health treatment and therapeutic services.

Work Details
The selected vendor(s) will provide a range of services including individual and group therapy, consultation services, and teletherapy options for students and their families. Services must be available year-round, including during holidays. The contractor must comply with applicable laws such as FERPA and HIPAA, ensure staff are licensed in Texas (LCSW, LPC, LMFT), and maintain transparency in clinical operations.

Specific requirements include:

- Direct services on piloted campuses for intensive mental health needs.
- Teletherapy options included.
- Regular consultation with campus staff.
- Culturally proficient care for diverse communities.
- Compliance with insurance billing standards for eligible healthcare services provided in schools.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for an initial term of one year from the date of award by the Board of Trustees, with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various campuses within the Austin Independent School District.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold all applicable business and professional licenses required by AISD. They are also required to undergo criminal history background checks through the Texas Department of Public Safety. Vendors must provide proof of insurance coverage including general liability, malpractice coverage, and workers' compensation. Additionally, bidders should demonstrate experience in providing similar services to government agencies.
