Description

The City of Missouri City, Texas ( City ) is accepting sealed bids from interested companies who can perform the work specified in Invitation For Bid ( IFB ) 25-016 Repair of Sidewalks and Streets.

Sealed bids must be delivered in accordance with the requirements specified in the above-referenced solicitation by 3 P.M. Central Daylight Time ( CDT ) February 26, 2025 to: The City of Missouri City, Texas Attn: City Secretary's Office Subject: IFB 25-016 (Do Not Open) 1522 Texas Parkway Missouri City, Texas 77489

Interested companies are highly encouraged (but are not required) to attend a pre-bid conference scheduled for 9 A.M. January 28, 2025 at the following location: City Hall Council Chambers (2nd Floor) City of Missouri City, Texas 1522 Texas Parkway Missouri City, Texas 77489

Background
The City of Missouri City, Texas is issuing this Invitation For Bid (IFB) 25-016 for the Repair of Sidewalks and Streets. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure within the city, ensuring safe and accessible pathways for residents and visitors.

The City aims to engage qualified contractors who can deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.

Work Details
The contract involves the following tasks:
1. Installation of new standard ADA wheelchair ramps (4 units).
2. Removal and replacement of existing standard ADA wheelchair ramps (35 units).
3. Installation of truncated bricks for wheelchair ramps (1700 SF).
4. Construction of new 6" thick sidewalks (300 SF) and 4" thick sidewalks (300 SF).
5. Removal and replacement of existing 6" thick sidewalks (2000 SF) and 4" thick sidewalks (100000 SF).
6. Installation of new 6" concrete curbs (120 SF).
7. Concrete grinding at specified locations (80 units).
8. Tree root removal (400 units) and installation of tree root barriers (400 LF).
9. Manhole adjustments (30 units).
10. Installation of sod blocks (20000 SF).
11. Replacement and installation of irrigation sprinklers, including all materials (60 units) and replacement of irrigation sprinkler heads (20 units).
12. Replacement and installation of irrigation lines, including all materials across various pipe sizes (150 LF).
13. Removal and replacement of mailboxes (1 unit each for removal and repair).

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a three-year period, with specific milestones outlined in the procurement schedule.

Place of Performance
All work will be conducted within the geographic boundaries of Missouri City, Texas.
